Program Recycles Flip Flops to Build Community Playgrounds
In an effort to further reduce waste, TerraCycle, Inc. and Old Navy are partnering in a month-long drive to collect used flip flops and recycle them into four public playgrounds around the country. Just a few, short years ago, I would have regular “discussions” with my husband about the value of recycling. We wouldn’t actually fight about my attempts to recycle newspapers, plastic, aluminum, etc, but we were definitely not in agreement!
